Down in Jawala, which is part of Tal Ghansawangi, you’ll find our group. We go by Bappa Bhosle Farmer Producer Company Limited. The main point of contact is Shri Ankush Janardhanm’s place. It’s a local operation, through and through. Most of us grew up in these fields, learning from our fathers and grandfathers. Farming in Jawala has its ups and downs, mostly depending on how much water we get. We decided to register this company because it was getting harder to handle everything alone. When you have a group, you can share the burden a bit. The name Bappa Bhosle is important to us, and we try to work with that kind of respect. We don't have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just want to grow our crops and sell them without losing too much money to the middleman. It’s a lot of work, and some days are better than others. You might see us sitting under a tree at Ankush’s place discussing the latest seed prices or complaining about the electricity cuts. It’s just real life here. We don't spend much time on computers unless we absolutely have to for the government forms. Our hands are usually dirty from the soil.
