Bansi Patil Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is based over in Tanwadi. We are at Ramprasad Pawar’s place, Gat No 71. It’s a quiet village in Ghansawangi. Being in Jalna, we are surrounded by farms. This company is just a way for us to pool our resources. We aren't looking to be world-famous or anything. We just want to make sure the farmers around here get a fair deal. Most of us spend more time in the dirt than in the office. The office is basically just a room with some chairs and a desk where we keep our books. It’s not very modern at all. We talk about seeds, fertilizers, and who is selling what. Sometimes the meetings go on for a long time because everyone has an opinion. We like it that way though. It feels more honest. We’ve all known each other for years. If you come looking for us at Post Tanwadi, just ask for the agro company. Someone will point you the right way. We don’t have any fancy signs out front. We just do our business and try to look out for each other. Farming is a tough life and we are just trying to make it a little bit easier by working together. It’s simple, really.
