Our office is tucked away on the first floor over at Oyashrashri Niwas in Omkar Society. If you know Karvey Nagar in Pune, you know it's a busy spot but our corner is actually quite alright. We spend a lot of time looking at papers and computer screens here. It’s not a big corporate building or anything like that. It’s just a regular flat turned into a workplace where we handle financial stuff. Some days it’s just me and a couple of others sitting around, going through records and filing things. People come by mostly to ask questions about their accounts or to drop off some documents they forgot. The stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and the neighbors in the society are used to us. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the shop down the street. It’s a bit cramped when too many people show up at once because we have so many files stacked up on the desks. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just some chairs. It’s a quiet place for the most part, unless the phones start ringing all at once. We just try to get through the daily paperwork without making too many mistakes. It’s straightforward work. We like being in this part of Pune. It feels like home even if it’s just where we work.
