Our group, Balraj Taur Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited, is set up in Ukkadgaon. That’s in the Ghansawangi part of Jalna, and you can usually find us around Shri Haribhau Kashinath Taur’s place, or what some call Taurukkadgaon. It’s a rural area, so things are pretty straightforward. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds, rain, and why the prices are always changing. We started this company because it felt like a practical way for a few of us to pool our resources. It’s not a big fancy business. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write glossy brochures. It’s just us trying to manage the harvest and get things sold. The village life is quiet, but there’s always something to do on the farm. Sometimes the crops are great, and sometimes we have a rough patch, but that’s just farming. We handle the bags, check the moisture in the grain, and try to keep the equipment running. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours during the harvest season. We keep things pretty simple here. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated plans. Mostly, we just look at the sky and hope the rain comes at the right time. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone sitting on a bench outside the main shed just taking a break from the sun. That’s pretty much how we operate every day. It's not fancy, but it is our life and our livelihood.
