Balaji Mobile Reparing Shopee

Our shop, Balaji Mobile Reparing Shopee, is tucked away in the Deccan Gymkhana area at Kajimiyans Tekro 725-B. It is a small place, mostly taken up by a workbench and a lot of tiny tools. We spend most of our hours hunched over phones, trying to fix cracked screens or charging ports that stopped working. The area around Kajimiyans Tekro is always buzzing, so there is usually noise from the street coming in through the door. We have boxes of spare parts everywhere, which might look like a mess to someone else, but we know where everything is. People bring in all kinds of mobiles, some very old and some brand new. We don't promise miracles, but we do our best to get the phones working again so people don't have to buy new ones. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small parts. Sometimes we have a backlog of repairs and the shelf gets full of phones waiting for parts to arrive. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a bench for people to sit on while we take a look at their device. It is a simple operation and we have been at this spot for years. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the desk that day. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a tricky repair on a motherboard. The street lamps outside flicker a bit, but it’s quiet enough to concentrate. We just take it one phone at a time here at Deccan Gymkhana.
