We are based in the Lloydchmb building, occupying rooms 506, 508, and 608. It is one of those office buildings where you spend a lot of time waiting for the elevator. Once you get up to the fifth or sixth floor, things are a bit quieter than down on the street. We have spread out across these three rooms to make enough space for everyone. The rooms are filled with benches and boards. It is a very functional setup. We didn't put much thought into the wall colors or the carpets, we just needed a place where people could sit and focus. There are always stacks of notes and old registers lying around on the tables. Sometimes the hallways get crowded when one group is leaving and another is arriving. You can see the city from the windows, but most of the time the blinds are closed to keep the sun out. We have a small corner for the staff to have their lunch or a quick cup of tea. It is a busy environment, especially during the exam seasons. We are just a bunch of people working out of a standard office building, trying to keep everything organized. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do every day of the week. The view from room 608 is actually quite nice if you like looking at rooftops and traffic. We have spent a lot of late nights here, especially when exams are coming up.
