We are based out of Shri Babu Genbhau Ghodekar’s residence in Mahalunge. It is tucked away in the Ambegaon Taluka of the Pune district. While people think of Pune as a big city, out here in Mahalunge P, it’s all about the land. We are a group of producers who decided to put our heads together. The address might seem a bit confusing to outsiders, but for us, it’s just home. We spend a lot of our time coordinating between different farms in the area. There’s always someone stopping by the house to talk about the soil or the latest irrigation methods. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our communication happens face-to-face over a cup of tea. The hills around Ambegaon are beautiful, but they make the work hard too. We move things back and forth from the fields to the storage spots. It can get dusty and the days are long, especially during the harvest season. We just try to keep the records straight and make sure everyone is getting what they need. It is a simple setup at Mahalunge, nothing too flashy, just honest work done by people who have lived here their whole lives and know the ground better than anything else. We stay busy with the seeds and the weather reports most weeks.
