Avanti

Avanti is located at 352, Lalwada, in the Gendigate area of Somwar Peth. This part of town has a lot of history. The Gendigate itself is a big landmark that everyone knows. Our place in Lalwada is an old structure. The walls are thick and painted a light color that has faded over time. We have a small entrance that leads into our workspace. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of stuff, but we make it work. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache. Most of us just walk or take the bus. Inside, there’s a quiet rhythm to the day. We have some old fans that wobble a bit when they are on high. We spend our time checking orders and talking to people who drop by. It’s a very informal environment. We don't wear uniforms or anything like that. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for generations. Sometimes you can hear someone’s radio playing or the sound of cooking from the houses nearby. It feels very connected to the neighborhood. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day. People know where to find us if they need anything. It’s a simple life at 352 Lalwada. We just keep doing what we do.
