Our office is in the Vrinda building over in Shivajinagar. Pune is a great city to live in, but the traffic near Modi Baug can be a real headache during the morning rush. We have been here for a while now, doing the usual stuff like checking business accounts and making sure the taxes are sorted out. It is a lot of sitting and looking at paper ledgers, to be honest. The office is on the fourth floor. It has big windows, but we usually keep the blinds pulled down because the afternoon sun gets too bright on the computer monitors. We are not a huge firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us who know the rules and how to file the right forms for the government. Sometimes it gets really hectic around March, and we end up eating our dinner at our desks. That is just the way this particular job is. We do not really do much advertising around town. Most of our clients have been with us for years, or they heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We keep things pretty simple in the office. There is a lot of paper everywhere, despite everyone talking about going digital these days. It feels more real when you can hold the file in your hand. We just try to do a solid job so nobody gets into trouble with their yearly paperwork. It is quiet, steady work. (254 words)
