Atul Shinde Interior Designer

I work out of a space on Sampige Road 45/12 in Kothrud. It’s a local neighborhood and I’ve been around here for quite a while now. My name is on the door, so I take everything pretty personally. It isn't a big firm with layers of management or anything like that. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers who handle the day-to-day stuff. My desk is usually covered in drawings and coffee rings. Kothrud is a great place to work, though finding a parking spot near 45/12 can be a real test of patience some days. I spend most of my time out at sites, checking on how the woodwork is coming along or if the electrical points are in the right place. I’ve realized that things rarely go exactly according to the first plan, so I spend a lot of time adjusting things on the fly. I don't use any fancy marketing talk because that’s not who I am. I’m just a guy who knows how to put a room together. I like the smell of sawdust and the sound of a level hitting the wall. Sometimes I'm working late into the evening just to finish a sketch for a client to see the next morning. It’s a busy life, but I wouldn't know what else to do with myself. People around here know me, and I like being the local guy they can just call up when they need something done.
