Atul S Shah & Co.

Our office is tucked away in Shivnandan Society, right across from Maharashtra Mandal. It’s actually a residential flat, number 19, which we’ve turned into a workspace for Atul S Shah & Co. Working from a society building in Sadashiv Peth has its own pace. It's quieter than being right on Tilak Road, which helps when you’re trying to focus on complicated tax laws. We spend a lot of our time going through ledger entries and making sure the financial statements are accurate for our clients. There are usually a few of us here, mostly buried under stacks of paper and folders. It’s not a very formal environment, though we do take the accounting work quite seriously. Most people who come by are local shopkeepers or small company owners who’ve been with us for years. We keep the kettle going for tea throughout the day because it helps with the long hours during filing season. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs to the flat at 1583, which is fine. It’s a simple operation really. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just do the work as it comes in and try to keep things organized. If you ever need to find us, just look for the society gate opposite the sports ground. We're usually around until late evening during the busy months.
