We have been set up at Picasso Kedari Arcade on Khondhwa Paud Road for a good while now. Shop No 6 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It is not a massive space, but there is enough room for us to keep the racks organized and get the work done. The morning sun hits the front glass pretty early, so we usually keep the blinds halfway down until the afternoon rolls around. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit noisy, but after being here for a few years, you honestly stop noticing it. People from around the neighborhood drop by quite often, some just to say a quick hello while they are out walking. It is a very normal routine here. We open up, check the stock, and make sure everything is sitting where it should be. The floor needs a sweep every couple of hours because the dust just seems to find its way in from the main road. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where we get our morning chai, and that is usually how we start the day. We have some regular people who come in knowing exactly what they want, and others who just like to look around for a bit. It is a quiet sort of life inside the shop. We do not have any fancy lights or displays, just the clothes and the counters. Sometimes the power cuts out, but we have a backup. It is a practical place.
