Ascent Engineering

We are based in Pune, specifically in the Yashwant Nagar area of Kharadi. Our workshop is located at Survey No. 8, sharing the space with Dattaray Mahadeo Kale. It is a typical engineering setup with the smell of cut metal and machine oil always hanging in the air. Kharadi has become very busy lately with all the new IT buildings, but our little corner remains a place for hard work and heavy tools. We spend our days at the machines, making parts or fixing things that have worn out over time. It is noisy and it can get pretty cramped when we have a lot of raw materials delivered at the same time. We do not have a team of salesmen or a front desk. Usually, it is just the owner or one of the senior guys answering the phone when it rings. We prefer to spend our time on the shop floor rather than sitting in front of a computer screen. If you come by to visit, you will probably see us in grease-stained shirts working on a lathe or checking a blueprint under a dim light. We do not make big claims about being the best in the country. We just try to get the dimensions right so the parts fit exactly where they are supposed to. Sometimes we work late into the night to meet a deadline. It is a tough job but there is a certain satisfaction in it.
