Aruns Beauty Parlour

Laxmi Niwas is where we are, right on the first floor in Sadashiv Peth. If you know where the Ramesh Dying school bag shop is, we are just behind that. It’s a busy part of Pune and we’ve been here for a while now. The stairs up to the first floor are just part of the daily routine for us and the people who come by. Sadashiv Peth has a certain rhythm to it, especially with all the shops and people moving around. Sometimes it gets a bit loud outside with the traffic, but inside it’s just the usual work. We see a lot of familiar faces from the neighborhood. Being near a landmark like the bag shop helps people find us because these lanes can get confusing if you aren’t from around here. We just open up the doors every morning and get things ready. There isn’t much fancy about the place, just a regular parlour where people come to get their hair or whatever done. The building has that old Pune feel to it, which is nice in its own way. We keep things simple and try to make sure everyone who walks in feels alright. It’s a small space but it works for what we do. We don’t really do much advertising or anything, mostly just people walking in because they live nearby or they saw the sign while heading to the market. That’s just how it goes here in Sadashiv Peth.
