Architect Mehmood Memon & Associates

We are based at 1984/107 Sterling House on Convent Street, right near Choksey School. Architect Mehmood Memon & Associates has been in this spot for quite a while. It’s a busy area, especially when school lets out. Our office in Sterling House is filled with drawing boards and old computers that still work well enough. There’s a lot of us working together here, hence the associates part of the name. We share a few big tables and there’s always someone talking about a project or looking for a misplaced ruler. The building itself has some character, and we’ve tried to make our space functional. We have heaps of blueprints from years ago stored in the overhead cabinets. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for, but we usually manage. We aren’t big on fancy decor; we just have our desks and our equipment. The walls are mostly covered in technical drawings and schedules. It’s a bit of a walk up to get to us, but it’s a good workout. We spend our time working through the details of various buildings. It’s steady work and we like the neighborhood. Being near Choksey School means there's always some life on the street. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily tasks of being architects in this corner of Sterling House.
