Archana Mens Saloon

Archana Mens Saloon is located right at Shop No 1 in Bavdhan. We are situated on Pashan Road, which stays pretty busy most of the day with cars and bikes going past. You can find us right across from the Shinde Petrol pump, so it is an easy landmark for anyone trying to find the shop. I have been working here for quite a while now. The shop is just a basic place for men to get a haircut or a clean shave. We have a few chairs and we try to keep the place tidy, though hair gets everywhere when it’s a busy Saturday. Pune can get hot, so we have a fan running all day long. Most of our customers live right here in Bavdhan and stop by on their way home from work. It is a straightforward business. We don't do anything complicated, just the usual stuff you expect at a local saloon. Sometimes people have to wait on the bench outside if all the chairs are full. We talk about the weather or the traffic on Pashan Road while I use the clippers. It’s just me and a couple of others working here most days. We like being near the petrol pump because there is always something to look at through the window. It is a decent spot and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. We just keep the scissors moving.
