Ar Milind Pawskar

I’m usually found working out of unit number 5 at the Rahul Park Apartment here in Pune. It’s a decent place in Maharashtra, tucked into a residential area which makes it feel more like a home than a stiff office. Being an architect in Pune means you see a lot of changes happening all the time, but this apartment building stays pretty much the same. My workspace is just a few rooms where I keep all my books, drawings, and the computer. It gets a bit crowded when I have a lot of projects going on at once. The sunlight comes in through the window in the morning, which is the best time to get things done. I don’t have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby. People just come to the apartment and we sit down to talk. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so I end up taking the stairs, which is fine. The neighbors are mostly families, so you hear kids playing or people cooking lunch in the afternoons. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of environment. I like that it isn’t pretentious. I just do my work, manage my time, and try to keep up with the pace of the city. Pune is a busy place, but here at Rahul Park, things feel a bit more grounded and manageable for a small practice.
