Appar Ladies Beauty Parlour

Appar Ladies Beauty Parlour is located right here in Yerwada, specifically at 21-165 in Phul Nagar. It’s a quiet little place where women from the neighborhood come to get their hair done or maybe get a facial. I started this place a few years back because there weren't many spots nearby that felt comfortable. It’s just me and two other girls working most days. We have a few chairs and some mirrors, nothing too crazy or high-end. The walls are painted a light pink, though the paint is peeling a bit near the corner where the steamer sits. Customers usually drop by after they finish their grocery shopping. On Saturdays, it gets really packed, and the waiting area—which is just a small bench—gets full fast. We talk a lot while we work. You hear all the local news here, who’s getting married, whose kids are doing well in school. It’s more like a social hub for the ladies around Phul Nagar. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we keep some hand fans ready just in case. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just see the sign outside and walk in. We do threading, waxing, and basic haircuts. It’s a honest living and we enjoy seeing the same faces every month. It feels good when someone leaves looking a bit happier than when they walked in. We've been here a long time now and hope to stay.
