Aparna S Beauty Parlour

The shop is located on the ground floor of the Pragati Building over in Baner. It’s officially Shop No 1, so you can’t really miss it if you’re walking by. We started this parlour because there weren’t many places nearby that did simple beauty work without charging a fortune. It’s a plain space with some white tiles and a couple of adjustable chairs. We mostly handle things like haircuts, waxing, and the usual eyebrow stuff. Most of our regulars are women who live in the apartments right above us or in the next street over. It’s a small team here, just me and two other girls who know how to handle the equipment. We don't really do those high-end fashion looks, just regular styles that people want for their daily lives. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone realizes they need something done before the work week starts again. We keep all the towels and combs in the back cabinets. It's not a corporate chain or anything like that, just a local business trying to stay busy. I usually open up early to clean the floors and get the mirrors wiped down. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but it’s okay because the conversation is usually pretty good with the neighbors. We have been here long enough that it feels like home now.
