Ankita Novelties

Ankita Novelties is located in Shop No 11 at the Kirkee Business Centre. It’s a busy spot in Khadki. We have been running this shop for a long time. Mostly we sell things like gift wraps, imitation jewelry, and some stationery. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of wall space. People come here when they need a quick gift for a wedding or a party. We try to keep the prices where regular folks can afford them. It’s mostly just me behind the counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit by the door for light. Khadki is a nice area, lots of people moving around. We get a lot of regulars who live nearby. It’s not like those big malls where nobody knows your name. We remember what people like. If someone needs a specific color of ribbon, we try to find it in the back. The shelves are a bit old now, but they hold up. We spend a lot of time dusting because the road outside gets quite busy. It's a simple life. We open at ten and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. There’s always something to do, like tagging new items or rearranging the display. We don’t have fancy ads. People just walk in because they know we are here. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the local market in this business centre. Sometimes we share tea with the shopkeeper next door.
