We set up shop near Lnd Fatak in Sanaswadi, which is close to the Burunjwadi post office. It’s an easy enough place to find if you know the railway crossing. We do auto coating here. That means a lot of prep work, sanding things down, and making sure the surfaces are ready. The air always smells a bit like chemicals and metal. It’s not for everyone, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We mostly work on parts that people bring in from nearby garages. My hands are usually covered in something or other by the time I go home. We have a small shed where we do the actual coating to keep the wind from blowing dirt onto the wet surfaces. It’s a constant battle with the dust, especially in the summer. We don't have a big sign, just enough for people to know they’re at the right place. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that’s life here. We don't promise anything fancy, just that we’ll do the job as best as we can with the tools we have. Most of our customers are regulars who trust us with their stuff. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. It’s a noisy spot but we are used to the trains passing by.
