Anjali Beauty Parlor

Anjali Beauty Parlor is tucked away in Mohamad Wadi, near Manik Baug. I’ve been working here for quite some time now. It’s not a huge salon like the ones you see in the shopping malls. It’s just a simple room with the things I need to do my job. I do mostly hair cutting and basic skin care. My favorite part of the day is early morning when the sun hits the front window and I’m getting everything ready. I usually have a few regulars who come in every month for their usual trim. We’ve become friends over the years. I don’t use any complicated booking systems. People just call me on my phone or drop by to see if I’m free. If I’m busy, they might wait on the bench outside and watch the street for a bit. Mohamad Wadi is a nice area, and Manik Baug is easy for most people to find. I keep a small shelf with some shampoos and oils that I like to use. I didn't want to work for someone else, so I saved up and opened this place. It’s hard work and I’m on my feet most of the day, but I like being my own boss. Sometimes my hands get tired from all the cutting, but I wouldn't change it. It’s a quiet life, but it’s mine. I just try to do right by everyone who walks through the door and make sure they leave feeling a bit better than when they came in.
