Ananya Academy

Ananya Academy is located right behind Shaniwar Wada in Shaniwar Peth. We are at K2. It is a busy part of Pune. Every morning when I come in, I see the old walls of the fort. It is a bit noisy here because of the traffic and the tourists who come to see the historical site. The building is older but it works for what we do. We have been in this spot for some time now. Some people find it hard to park their scooters nearby because the lanes are quite narrow. That is just how Shaniwar Peth is. Inside the office, it is mostly quiet once the door is shut. We spend most of our day here looking out at the street. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit but we just wait for it to come back. It is a simple place. We have some desks and chairs and a small space for tea. Nothing fancy or modern. It gets quite hot in the afternoons during the summer months. We usually leave the windows open to get a bit of a breeze from the back alley. Most people who visit us are from the local neighborhood or come by bus. It is easy to find if you know where the Wada is. Just walk around to the back side and look for the K2 sign. We are usually here from morning until the evening hours. We just stay busy with our work and don't worry about much else.
