Amit Hotel

Amit Hotel is located on Sinhagad Road at Oshiwara 26. It’s not a hotel with rooms, but a place to come and eat. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. We serve basic meals, mostly thalis with bhaji, dal, and chapatis. It’s the kind of food people eat every day at home. The place is simple. We have some overhead fans that keep the air moving, but it still gets warm in the afternoons. The tables are just metal and wood, easy to clean up after someone finishes their meal. We get our supplies from the market every morning, so whatever we cook is what was available that day. Our cook is a local man who doesn't use any fancy techniques. He just cooks like he would for his own family. Sinhagad Road is always full of traffic and noise, but we try to keep the inside of the hotel calm. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who do everything from taking orders to cleaning the tables. We don't have any flashy signs or internet ads. Most of our customers are people who work nearby or live in the Oshiwara area. They come because the food is consistent and the price is okay for a daily meal. We open early for tea and close once the dinner rush is over. It’s just a regular, honest eating house. We don't ask for much, just for people to enjoy their lunch.
