Amarapali Beauty Parlour

Over in Khadakpada on JP Road, you’ll find our beauty parlour inside the Dharam Apartment building. It’s a local place in Kalyan where women come to get their hair done or maybe some threading and facials. The space isn't huge, but we’ve tried to make it comfortable with some chairs and a few mirrors. It’s usually got a bit of a buzz with people talking and the sound of hair dryers. We have a lot of regular customers from the apartments nearby who just walk over. It feels more like a community spot than a business sometimes. We see the same faces every month. We don’t have all the latest high-tech machines, but we just do our work like we always have. The curtains are a bit bright and there's always the smell of hair spray in the air. We spend our days managing appointments and cleaning up between clients. It’s a lot of work on your feet, but we like the people we meet. Kalyan is a busy place, and Khadakpada is always moving. Being tucked away in Dharam Apartment gives us a bit of a quiet corner away from the main road noise. We just do what we do, one person at a time, making sure they feel a bit better when they leave. It’s a simple business run by regular people. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed so everyone feels welcome when they sit down. It is just our way of working here.
