You can find us at Balewadi High Street, right in the Cummins Building area. We are in Shop 20, which is next to the McDonalds. This part of Pune is really modern and has a lot of energy. People are always walking their dogs or going out for dinner on the high street. Our place is a mix of a salon and a spa. We have the chairs for haircuts and then the more quiet areas for the spa stuff. It is a bit of a shift in mood when you walk from the front to the back. Since we are next to MacD, we often get the smell of fries coming in when the door opens. The staff wears their uniforms and we spend a lot of time folding towels and stocking up on oils and creams. It is not a huge place but we used the space well. The windows look out onto the busy walkway. On Friday nights the whole street is packed and we stay open late. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. It is just a place where you can sit down and get your hair done or take a break for a bit. We keep the music soft to drown out the noise from the street. It is a lot of work keeping everything clean but we stay on top of it. We just do our work and keep things moving for the customers.
