Our place is in Khondhwa, specifically the Hingne Khurd 4 area. It is a quiet enough neighborhood most days. We opened this parlor to serve the families and women living around here so they don’t have to go too far for basic things. The room isn’t huge but we made it work with a couple of chairs and a station for washing hair. I spend a lot of time organizing the pins and the clips so they are ready when someone walks in. It’s mostly just me or one other person working here depending on the day. We do simple haircuts, some facial work, and bridal dressing if someone asks. The light comes in through the front window in the mornings which is nice. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming for years. They bring their kids or just come by to talk while getting their hair colored. It’s a very local vibe. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the hand fans, but everyone is used to that around here. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People just see the sign outside or hear about us from a friend. It’s a steady way to spend the day. I try to keep the towels smelling fresh and the floor clean. That’s about all there is to it. Just a simple neighborhood parlor for the local ladies who want to look a bit better.
