If you are looking for us, we are on Vishrantvadi Road, right near the Maza Building. It is a spot where a lot of traffic goes by, so there is always a bit of dust and noise coming through the door. We have the usual setup you’d expect in a barber shop, with the big mirrors and the chairs that spin. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast on Saturdays, so one of us is always sweeping while the others work. We don't really do anything complicated here. It’s just about getting a decent haircut or a shave so you can go about your day looking a bit tidier. The shop has been here for a bit, and we know most of the people who walk in by their first names. We talk about the weather, the local news, or whatever is playing on the small TV we keep in the corner. Sometimes the clippers get a bit loud, and we have to shout over them. The spray bottles are always full, and we keep a stack of old magazines on the bench for people waiting their turn. It’s not a luxury place with fancy lights. It’s just a neighborhood saloon where men from Vishrantwadi come to sit for twenty minutes and get cleaned up. We keep the towels clean and the blades sharp, and that is about the extent of it. It is just a regular shop doing regular work for the local guys.
