Alfa Novelties

Alfa Novelties is tucked away in Wadgaon Sheri, specifically near Hotel Annapurna in the Kalewadi area. If you live around here, you probably pass by us when you are heading out for errands. The shop is not anything elaborate. We carry a mix of different novelty items, the kind of small stuff you realize you need for the house or for a kid’s school project. It gets pretty lively around here in the evenings when everyone is out and about near the hotel. Our space is filled with bins and hooks holding all sorts of knick-knacks. We do not have a big staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We try to stay organized, but with so many small items, the shelves can get a bit cluttered. That is just the nature of a novelty shop. We know most of our regulars by face since they live in the surrounding buildings. It is a decent place to work, even if the traffic on the main road gets noisy sometimes. We are not part of some big chain. It is just this one shop here in Wadgaon Sheri. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and get things ready for whoever might wander in looking for a gift or a household tool.
