Alame Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers here in Junnar, specifically around the Almetal area. It's a busy place with all the agriculture going on. Our office is actually set up at Anant Savaleram Shinde’s place in Pune. We didn't really want anything fancy, just a spot where we could get together and figure out how to handle our crops better. Everyone knows the soil around here is decent, but selling what you grow is always the hard part. That is why we started Alame Farmers Producer Company Limited. It is mostly just us neighbors trying to make things easier on ourselves. Sometimes we meet up under the shade to talk about seeds or who has a tractor available. Dealing with traders can be a real headache, so we thought if we worked as one group, we might get a fairer deal. There isn't any big boss or anything like that. We just look out for each other. Some days are tougher than others, especially when the rain doesn't show up on time or the market prices drop out of nowhere. But being in Pune district means we have a lot of farming history behind us. We keep things simple and focus on what needs doing for the day. It’s not a polished operation, just a bunch of people who know how to work the land and want to keep their families fed. We stay busy with the paperwork too, even if it's not our favorite thing.
