Akshay Medical Foundation

Akshay Medical Foundation is tucked away in Lonavala on M G Road, specifically in G Ward at number 204. If you know where the Neelkamal Theatre is, we are just behind it. Lonavala gets very busy with tourists and travelers on the weekends, but where we are located, it stays a bit more regular and local. We’ve been using this space for a long time to manage our medical foundation’s work. It’s an older building, and our office is just a couple of rooms where we keep our records and meet with people. The damp weather in Lonavala during the monsoon season means we are always fighting a bit of mustiness, but we keep the windows open when the sun is out. We aren't a big clinic; we mostly handle the administrative side of things and coordinate medical help for folks who need it. There’s a lot of walking involved since we’re in G Ward and things are spread out. The staff here is just a small group of us who have lived in Lonavala for many years. We know all the shortcuts behind M G Road to avoid the traffic when the town is completely full of visitors. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just filing papers, making calls, and answering the phone. We don’t have fancy furniture, just some old wooden desks and chairs that have been here for as long as the foundation has been running. We just try to stay useful to the local people who come here.
