Akshay Arts

Akshay Arts is located on Satara Road, near the Axis Bank in the Balajinagar area of Dhankawadi. Satara Road is always packed with cars and buses, so it’s a very visible spot. We are right there near the bank, which is how most people give directions to find us. We do all sorts of art-related work, mostly signs and displays for other shops or local events. Our workshop is usually a bit of a mess with paint, brushes, and pieces of wood or plastic scattered around. We think it’s a productive kind of mess, though. It’s a hands-on job, and we usually end the day with some ink or paint on our clothes. We’ve been in Dhankawadi for quite some time, and we’ve seen shops come and go around us. We just keep doing our thing. The noise from Satara Road is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. We don't have a fancy website or a big advertising budget. Most of our work comes from people walking in because they saw our sign or someone told them about us. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us working through the orders. We take things as they come and try to do an honest job for a fair price. It’s nothing fancy, just a local art shop trying to make things look a bit better for the community.
