Akraya Inc

Akraya Inc operates out of A1-13 in the Rakshalekha Society. This is in the Dattawadi area of Pune. It’s a fairly old society but it’s sturdy and has a lot of families living around. Our office is basically a part of that community. We see the same people every morning when we arrive. The space inside is simple. We have enough room for our computers and a small table for eating lunch together. We don’t have a HR department or a cleaning crew that comes in every hour. We mostly look after the place ourselves. Dattawadi is a central enough location, so getting parts or supplies isn't too difficult. Sometimes the parking in the society is a bit tight, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work properly and go home to our families. The atmosphere is very relaxed. If someone is tired, they take a walk outside for some fresh air. We have a few cupboards filled with old project files and some reference books. It’s a bit dusty in the corners sometimes, but it’s a real working office. People know us by name here. It’s not like those anonymous offices in the IT parks. We feel like we belong to the neighborhood. Every now and then, we all go out for a quick snack at the corner shop to catch up on things.
