Agharkar Research Institute

This office of ours is situated in Manohar Residency, specifically at Flat No 11 in Ganesh Nagar, Dhayari. It is a different setup than some might expect since we are based in a residential area of Pune. We use this space for our research work and administrative tasks. It can get a bit tight with all the books and files we have stored in a flat, but it serves its purpose for us. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep things quiet during the day. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. Most people who come here already know where they are going. It’s a simple place with a few desks and computers where we sit and go through our data. Being in Dhayari means it’s a bit away from the main city rush, which we actually prefer for our thinking work. We spend our days writing reports and coordinating with other researchers. It is not a corporate office at all. It feels more like a home office where we happen to do serious research. We’ve been here for a while and the routine is pretty much set. Sometimes we have meetings around the small table we have in the main room. It is just a plain, functional space for people who care about research. We don't bother with anything fancy, we just get the work done. The balcony gives us a little fresh air when the work gets too heavy.
