Navi Peth is always busy, especially around the time the schools let out and students start heading over to Agarwal Classes. Our space here isn't hard to find once you get into the main lane, but the parking can be a bit of a headache for the parents. We usually tell the older students to just walk or take the bus if they can because the street gets very crowded. Inside, the walls are a plain off-white color and we have a few maps pinned up that have started to curl at the edges because of the humidity. The benches are arranged in four rows, and we try to keep the youngest kids near the front so they don't get distracted by what's happening outside. There is a small desk near the door where we keep the attendance logs and a few spare pens for anyone who forgot theirs. In the evenings, you can hear the traffic from the main road, but once the door is shut, it stays fairly quiet for the lessons. We have a small cupboard in the back where we store the old textbooks and test papers from previous years. It feels like we are always moving chairs around to make more room, but we manage with what we have. People in Navi Peth know where we are, so we don’t need a big sign outside. Just the name on the door is enough for most folks. Usually, we end the day by wiping down the boards.
