Aditi Printwell

Down here in Rasta Peth, things are always a bit busy. Aditi Printwell is located up on the 3rd floor of Sterling City, right by the Apollo Theatre. If you’ve been in this part of town, you know how the traffic gets during the day. We spend most of our time surrounded by the smell of ink and the constant sound of the machines running. It’s one of those things where you don’t really notice the noise after an hour, but it’s definitely there. We do a lot of paper work, mostly printing out whatever people need for their businesses or personal stuff. Sometimes the paper jams and it’s a whole headache to fix, but that’s just part of the routine. The building is easy to find if you look for the theatre first. We’ve had people coming up these stairs for a long time now. It’s not a shiny corporate office or anything. There are stacks of boxes everywhere and usually someone is drinking tea while waiting for a job to finish. We handle everything from small leaflets to bigger batches for shops. Some days the humidity makes the paper act funny, so we have to watch the machines closely so nothing gets wasted. It's a lot of standing around and checking colors to make sure nothing looks blurry. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Pune, we just stay focused on getting the orders out before the sun goes down.
