Adarsha Hair Dressers

The shop is on Janwadi Road in Gokhale Nagar, right near the Janwadi Masjid. It’s a small place, nothing too fancy. I’ve been working here for quite some time now. Most mornings start with cleaning the mirrors and setting up the chairs. The fan hums a bit too loud sometimes, but it keeps the air moving. People from the neighborhood just walk in, sit on the wooden bench, and wait their turn. We don't have a booking system or anything like that. It’s mostly just regulars who live nearby. Sometimes they want a quick shave before work, and other times it’s just a simple haircut. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people going to the mosque. You can hear the calls to prayer while you’re sitting in the chair. It’s a basic setup with three old chairs and a shelf for the combs and scissors. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so I have to sweep a lot. Sometimes the water in the tap runs a bit slow, but we manage. It’s just a normal day-to-day business where we know everyone’s name and what they like. There’s no big sign outside, just the name Adarsha Hair Dressers. If you’re looking for something modern, this probably isn't the spot, but for a regular cut, it works fine. I usually close up when it gets dark or when the last customer leaves and the street begins to quiet down for the night.
