Adarsh Varities is at 7 Pragati Towers, right opposite Shivaji Nagar Ramangamdi in the Gidc Shivaji Nagar area. Being in the Gidc means there is a lot of industrial activity nearby. We aren't in a fancy shopping mall. Our place is in a tower where people come for all sorts of errands. The shop has been here for a bit, and we have a variety of items on hand. We don't really have a specific specialty; we just stock what seems useful for the people working and living around Shivaji Nagar. It’s a practical place. We don’t use any big words to describe ourselves. We are just a local shop in Pragati Towers. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the industrial zone, but we try to keep things clean. Most of our customers are workers from the Gidc or people living in the nearby blocks. We don't do any big promotions. People find us because we are right opposite Ramangamdi. It’s a landmark everyone knows. The space inside is small but we use every inch of it. We have a lot of shelves and boxes. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. If you need something, you just ask. We spend our days here, keeping the doors open and seeing who needs what. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't mind the noise from the Gidc trucks much anymore.
