Ace Classes

Ace Classes is inside D 21 Kanchan Junga, which is part of Satyanad Park in Kothrud. It’s quite near Mantri Park, so it's a very residential area. I find that this helps the students stay a bit more relaxed than if we were right on the main highway. We’ve been operating out of this space for a while now. It’s essentially a few rooms converted into classrooms. We have enough space for about fifteen students in a batch, which is plenty for what we do. Mostly, we see kids from the surrounding buildings. They walk over after they’ve had their lunch or a quick snack at home. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and we get started. The main thing we do is go over the chapters they find tricky at school. Physics and math seem to be the biggest hurdles for most of them. We try to use simple examples that they can actually relate to. Sometimes the light goes out, but we have a small backup system to keep the fans running. It gets quite lively when everyone is trying to solve a problem at the same time. I usually sit at the back table checking papers while the assistant teacher goes through the blackboard work. We aren't trying to be some huge institution. We just want to make sure the kids in this neighborhood have a place to study properly.
