Acclaim Computers

If you know Sadashiv Peth, you know how tight the streets can be. We are at 1712, right near the corner. Finding us the first time can be a bit tricky because the signs in this area are all on top of each other. We’ve been running Acclaim Computers from this spot for quite some time. It's a small shop, mostly filled with boxes of monitors and old hard drives we keep for parts. We handle a lot of walk-in repairs from students and people living in the apartments nearby. The floor is a bit uneven and the door squeaks every time someone comes in, but we haven't gotten around to fixing that yet. We focus more on getting the computers back to their owners. Some days are really busy and we have laptops stacked up on every available surface. Other days it’s just me and the radio. We don't do fancy advertising. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors or friends. It’s a local way of doing things. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what is just junk. Sometimes we have to tell people their old machine isn't worth the cost of the repair. It’s not always what they want to hear, but it’s the truth. We just keep at it, day by day.
