Abhiraj Plastic Industries

Abhiraj Plastic Industries is over in Bhosari, GF/35/T/204/A/28. If you know Bhosari, you know it’s the heart of manufacturing around here. Our unit is part of a large complex. It’s a bit of a maze to find us the first time. Inside, the smell of melting plastic is something you get used to after a few days. We have several machines running constantly. They make a rhythmic thumping sound that becomes the background of our conversations. We work in shifts because the machines shouldn't really sit idle for too long. It’s a lot of monitoring and making sure the molds are working right. The floor is usually covered in little bits of plastic offcuts. We sweep up at the end of every day, but by noon the next day, it’s back. It’s just the nature of the business. We have a small room for breaks with a fridge and a microwave. We don’t have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery drivers and the occasional supplier. The paperwork is stacked on a desk that's a bit too small for all of it. We are just a group of people making things that people use every day. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we know. We take pride in the fact that we stay busy and the machines keep running. Sometimes it gets stressful when a machine breaks down, but we usually fix it pretty quick ourselves.
