My office is tucked away in Laxmi Nagar, specifically at 58/460 in the Parvati area. It’s right behind the Dattawadi Police Station and not too far from Shahu College. People usually find it easier to use the police station as a landmark when they’re coming by. It’s a local neighborhood, and the office reflects that—it’s a simple space where the actual work happens. As an architect, I spend most of my time here at the drawing board or on the computer, trying to get the lines and measurements to line up. It’s not a big corporate setup; it’s more of a personal workspace. There are usually rolls of blueprints leaning against the walls and various site photos pinned up. Being near Parvati is nice because it’s a central part of Pune with a lot of history. Sometimes the area gets a bit crowded, especially during the day, but it’s a good place to be based. I’ve been working out of this spot for a while, and the neighbors all know what I do. Most of the time, I’m either here or out visiting a site to see how the construction is going. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, but that’s the nature of the job. I don't use any fancy management talk; I just focus on the plans and making sure the buildings are solid. It’s a straightforward way to work, and I try to keep it that way for every client I meet.
