Aalishan Carpets Interiors

Over at Shukrawar Peth 247, you’ll find Aalishan Carpets Interiors. It’s an old part of town and our shop fits right in with the busy streets around us. We have rolls of carpet and stacks of interior samples leaning against almost every wall. When you walk in, you get that specific smell of wool and new fabric. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for people to actually touch and feel. Picking out a carpet isn't something you can really do just by looking at a picture, so we encourage folks to come in and see the textures for themselves. We’ve spent many years here, and the floorboards probably show it. It gets dusty, and we spend a fair amount of time moving heavy rolls around to show different patterns. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped, especially when we have several customers in at once. We don't do much in the way of advertising; mostly people just know we’re here in Shukrawar Peth when they need to fix up their floors. We handle the measuring and the cutting ourselves. It’s just regular work that we’ve gotten used to over the seasons. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot where you can find something decent for your home and get things sorted out without too much fuss.
