Aakruti Architects And Designers. We are based in B/105 Aakruti Sankul, which is on Tilak Road in Sadashiv Peth, Pune. If you know the area, we are right opposite Brahma Chamber. Sadashiv Peth is a very traditional part of Pune, and Tilak Road is always buzzing with people and traffic. Our office is on the first floor of the Sankul. It’s a classic Pune office space—nothing too flashy, just lots of cupboards for drawings and a few big tables for the team to work on. Being in this part of the city means we are surrounded by old buildings and a lot of history, which is interesting for architects. We spend our days sketching, arguing over designs, and talking to contractors. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We often head out to the local spots for a quick vada pav or tea when the work gets a bit much. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just draw plans and try to make sure they work for the people who are paying for them. It’s a lot of back-and-forth and making sure the measurements are right. Most of our clients are locals who know the Aakruti Sankul building well. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like a permanent part of the Tilak Road landscape, just doing our daily architectural work.
