A V Industrial Polymers is based in Pimpri, right in the middle of all the other industrial sheds. If you’ve ever walked through this area, you know exactly what it’s like. It’s all about production here. We work with polymers, which means the place often has a very specific smell of plastic and chemicals. It’s not a bad smell, just the smell of work. Our space is mostly taken up by bags of raw materials and the machines we use for processing. We don’t have a reception desk or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you, probably wearing an apron or carrying a clipboard. Pimpri is a tough place to work sometimes because of the traffic and the heat, but it’s a good community for businesses like ours. We send out batches of products to different factories around the state. Every morning starts with checking the inventory and making sure the machines are warmed up. We don’t do anything fancy with our branding. The name is on the door and that’s about it. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s a straightforward business. We make the stuff, we pack it, and we ship it out. Pimpri has always been an industrial hub, and we’re just one small part of that massive machine. We don’t have a sales team or anyone in a suit. Most of the time, the boss is out helping with the loading.
