We are out at R. S. No. 1/15 on the Karasur-Vanur Road, right in Karasur Village, Vazhudavur S.O. It’s a quiet area mostly, except for the sounds of our machinery making the tiles and pavers. We have a large yard where we stack the finished products in rows. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving the heavy pavers around and checking for cracks. The sun can be pretty brutal out here in the village, so we try to get the heaviest work done in the morning. We’ve got a small team here at Sree Tiles And Pavers Ltd. We mostly just focus on the production and getting orders ready for whoever needs them. The office is just a corner of the main building with a desk and some old chairs. We don't have a big marketing plan or fancy brochures. People usually just drive down the Karasur-Vanur Road and see what we have out in the front. Sometimes the orders are big and we’re working late into the evening to get everything loaded. Other days are more relaxed. We’ve been part of the village for a while now, and most people know where to find us. It’s just basic manufacturing. We take the raw materials, mix them up, press the tiles, and wait for them to cure. It’s a slow process but we stick to it. We don't try to make it sound better than it is; it's just making tiles for people's homes and paths. We keep the machines running.
