Jai Tiles

Jai Tiles is located at 277, Thiruvalluvar Street, over in the Saram area. It is a busy little spot, especially on the days when new shipments come in. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy boxes around. The street outside can get quite crowded with people going about their business. If you walk inside, you will see piles of samples everywhere. It is not the most organized looking place in the world, but we know where everything is. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of white dust because that is just what happens when you work with these materials all day long. The building itself is older, and you can see the wear and tear on the walls, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep things from being too quiet while we work. Most of the people who come by are locals from Saram who are fixing up their houses or working on small projects nearby. We talk to the neighbors quite a bit, and sometimes we sit outside on the step when there is a break in the work. It is a straightforward kind of life here on Thiruvalluvar Street. We just focus on keeping the inventory moving and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us. There isn't much more to it than that, just a local business doing its thing.
