Finding us is easy since we are right in the Main Market in Guwahati, not far from the railway station. It’s a very loud and busy area to be in. There is always someone shouting or a train whistle blowing in the distance. We’ve been running Suraj Marbal And Granite from this spot for quite some time. The shop is usually packed with different kinds of marble and granite pieces. Because we are so close to the station, we get all kinds of people dropping by just to look around. The floors in the shop are always covered in a bit of white dust from the marble. We try to sweep it out, but it comes back five minutes later. It’s just how it is with stone. We aren't big on corporate talk or anything like that. We just sell stone. If you want a piece for a small table or enough for a whole floor, we try to help you out. Some of the pieces have really nice patterns, while others are just plain. We just show you what we have in the back. Sometimes the supply is a bit slow because of the transport issues into Guwahati, but we manage. It’s a tough location because of the crowds, but it’s where we’ve always been. We just take it one customer at a time. It’s a lot of work but we like being here in the market.
