Raj Marble And Cement

Our place at 6/11 in Lukerganj is right on the G T Road, so there is never a moment of peace and quiet. Between the honking trucks and the dust from the cement bags, it is a pretty hectic environment most days. We sell a lot of marble too, which means we are always worrying about things cracking if they aren't handled just right. The building is old and could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy loading up orders to worry about that. People from the local neighborhood stop by to ask about prices or just to chat while they are walking their dogs. We have a few guys who have been working with us for years and they know exactly where everything is kept in the warehouse. Sometimes the supply of cement gets low if the trucks are delayed on the highway, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you’re situated on a major road like this. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people seeing the sign out front and coming in to see what we have in stock. The marble slabs are heavy and it takes a couple of us to move them carefully so they don't chip on the edges. It’s steady work and we like being part of the Lukerganj community.
