Strange Export

People always ask about the name, but we just liked it. We are located at number 55 on Veerankovil Street in Pudhukuppam. It’s near the Nalavadu Post. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from the area. We do exports. Most of what we do involves local products that need to go elsewhere. The office is small and we have a lot of bags and boxes piled up. It's a rural kind of place, so it's not like the big city offices. We know everyone on the street. Sometimes we sit outside when it’s too hot inside. The work is mostly checking quality and making sure the packing is strong enough for long trips. Shipping things from here takes some planning. We have to coordinate with the drivers to get everything to the main hub. It’s a lot of manual work. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving crates. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just talk to people and do what we say we will. Some days we don't have much to do, and other days we're working until late at night by flashlight. It's a quiet life but we like it. We have a small dog that hangs around the entrance. He doesn't do much but keep us company while we sort through the orders and wait for the truck.
